For hotel guests, the experience begins with a boat-trip aboard an ‘abras′, one of the water-taxis which sail across the resort′s quiet and peaceful waterways and lead you right into the spa centre′s building.

As a matter of fact, the consortium owns the prestigious Soneva Fushi hotel in the Maldives, a hotel that has been awarded several distinctions for the quality of its services and its breathtaking setting.

Mina a′Salam Hotel can be compared to a city inside the city, which makes it architecturally fascinating. Indeed, vast waterways on the waterfront connect Moorish-styled buildings between each other, in a maze of shapes and colours, which recalls the dreamy atmosphere of Sherazad′s Arabian Nights.

A part of the huge Madinat Jumeirah resort, the Mina a′Salam hotel opened its doors in 2003, its name meaning ‘the Port of Peace′ in local dialect. This imposing building was built following the tradition of Arabic palaces of old, with a complex network of waterways running in and around it.

The rooms at Mina a′Salam are spacious and full of light, luxurious and well-equipped. All share a minimum surface of 50 sqm and open out to the sea.
The Mina a′Salam hotel provides its customers with a large range of services, equally adapted to family stays, romantic holidays or business trips.

Rooms are fitted with twin beds or double-beds, a shower, a bath, separate toilets, a sitting-room, an inroom safe, a hair-dryer and a mini-bar, as well as satellite television. The decoration is typically oriental in its theme: dark-wood furniture, carved mural arches, and richly decorated cloths, all set the scene of your stay.

Restaurants : Restaurant "Al Muna"
International cuisine is served à la carte or in buffet meals in this restaurant, where an oriental setting opens out to the hotel′s waterways. Customers are invited to look out and admire the ‘abras′ water-taxis.

Restaurant "The Wharf"
The Wharf Restaurant is a must for all fish and seafood amateurs. The setting recalls the fishing port′s quays and wharfs, as nets and baskets adorn the room with a truly soothing atmosphere.

Restaurant "Zheng He’s"
A chic restaurant offering fusion cuisine, combining different styles of cooking, in a tasty blend of chinese and oriental flavours.

Sports et leisures : The hotel boasts its own private beach, as well as several swimming-pools for those willing to lounge and laze at the water′s edge.

The hotel also features a huge 3000 sqm fitness centre called « The Quay Healthclub », comprising 2 inside swimming-pools.

5 tennis courts are also on offer for customers, as are a vast number of watersports: windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing, boatriding, and diving at the PADI « Pavilion Dive Centre ».

Hotel guests also have access to the « Wadi Wadi Water Park », a big aquatic park with water slides, shoots and rapids, at a special rate.

Golf courses are located in the hotel′s vicinity as well: the Montgomery Golf Course and the Emirates Golf Club are just a stone′s throw away.

Excursions into town or into the desert are also on offer, and can easily be organised on the premises.
